Latin
Latin dance encompasses a variety of energetic and vibrant styles, such as Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba, Samba, Paso Doble, and Cumbia. Each of these dances features unique rhythms and movements that reflect the rich cultural heritage of Latin America.
Hip Hop
Hip hop dance is a dynamic and energetic style that originated in the streets of New York City, encompassing a variety of techniques such as breaking, locking, popping, krumping, and freestyle. It is celebrated for its creativity, individuality, and deep connection to hip hop culture, continuing to evolve and inspire dancers globally.
Stomp
Stomp dance is a traditional Native American dance, particularly associated with the Southeastern tribes, characterized by its rhythmic, earth-pounding movements, accompanied by singing and the sound of rattles or shells worn on the dancers’ legs.
Jazz
Jazz dance is a lively and expressive dance style that originated in the early 20th century in the United States, characterized by its syncopated rhythms, improvisation, and incorporation of elements from ballet, tap, and African-American dance traditions.
Acro
Acro dance is a style of dance that combines classical dance techniques with acrobatic elements, characterized by its athleticism, fluidity, and seamless blending of dance and gymnastics movements such as flips, lifts, and balancing acts.
Lyrical
Lyrical dance is a contemporary dance style that blends elements of ballet, jazz, and modern dance, characterized by its expressive, flowing movements and emotional storytelling, often performed to music with lyrics that inspire the choreography.
Contemporary
Contemporary dance is a versatile and expressive dance style that emerged in the mid-20th century, incorporating elements from various dance genres including modern, jazz, ballet, and improvisation. It emphasizes fluidity, natural movement, and the use of the dancer’s own interpretation and creativity to convey emotions and stories.
Afro
Afro dance, also known as Afrobeats dance, is a dynamic and energetic dance style that originates from various African cultures and is heavily influenced by African rhythms, music, and traditional dances. It features vibrant, rhythmic movements, including body isolations, intricate footwork, and expressive gestures, reflecting the rich cultural heritage and diversity of Africa.
Dance Hall
Dancehall dance, originating from Jamaica, is a high-energy style featuring fast-paced footwork, hip isolations, and expressive body movements, closely tied to dancehall music and culture.
Fosse
Fosse dance style, created by Bob Fosse, features stylized movements like turned-in knees, jazz hands, and precise, exaggerated gestures, emphasizing theatricality and sensuality.
